EPC Announces New AEC Qualified 100 V Gallium Nitride (GaN) IC for Advanced Autonomy Applications

Product ImageWe are pleased to introduce the EPC2221, a common source dual gallium nitride FET rated at 100 V, 58 mΩ, and 20 A pulsed output current. The EPC221 can be used in lidar systems for robots, surveillance systems, drones, autonomous cars, and even vacuum cleaners.

The low inductance and capacitance of the EPC2221 allow fast switching (100 MHz) and narrow pulse widths (2 ns) for high resolution and high efficiency. Additionally, the ultra-small size of 1.35 mm x 1.35 mm reduces PCB cost and total solution size.

The EPC2221 is the latest addition to a growing family of GaN FETs and ICs designed to meet the performance and reliability standards of demanding automotive applications.

While designed specifically for lidar applications, the EPC2221 is also perfectly suited for high frequency DC-DC conversion, wireless power applications, and synchronous rectification.
