Abstract: This webinar is part of a four-part series about EMC with a focus on switched mode power supplies. Although this part is mainly about general measures and how to design a first time pass, this knowledge is basic for understanding the third and the fourth parts, where we finally analyze switched mode power supplies and appropriate mitigations for reduced EMC problems.
Abstract: This webinar discusses the fundamentals of electromagnetic compliance (EMC) and will mainly focus on the coupling mechanism. It will introduce real-world parasitic behavior of components, and describe the physics phenomena responsible for the effects. Lastly, the presentation will reveal how to cope with these mechanisms and explore different techniques for noise mitigation.
Presenter: Josefine Lametschwandtner, RECOM Power, Inc. Josefine Lametschwandtner is an EMC Engineer with RECOM Power. She has a BS in Science with an emphasis on Electronics and Technology from FH Joanneum and is working towards an MS in Information Electronics from JKU. She is currently the lead EMC Engineer with RECOM Power and has been with the company since 2012. She is responsible for EMC filter development and testing as well as customer consulting around all EMC related issues (filtering for radiated and conducted emissions, PCB layout adjustments, filtering for surge and transient immunity, etc.).
