The purpose of the Nanotechnology Committee is to foster and promote the understanding of all aspects of science and technology where dimensions are between 1 nanometer (nm) to 100 nanometers (nm) as it pertains to all types of power sources and conversion devices.

The Committee held its first meeting in March 2009 with a focus to be a participant in APEC 2010. We have been meeting monthly to achieve this objective. At present, our Co-Chair with has been selected to give a keynote presentation at APEC 2010 on nanotechnology entitled, "Nanotechnology, the Reality and the Promise". Also, our Committee has been selected to hold a Special Presentation Session entitled, \"Nanotechnology-The Unique Challenge". We have seven speakers who have committed to the Special Session . We now in the process of finalizing or program for APEC 2010.
