Bazzi, Ali (University of Connecticut)

The Advanced Power Electronics and Electric Drives Laboratory (APEDL) at the University of Connecticut was founded in 2012 and is currently directed by Prof. Ali Bazzi. The main research focus of the lab is the design, modeling, and control of power electronic systems in two major applications, electric drives and solar photovoltaic systems, to achieve more efficient and reliable energy conversion systems. Among the areas of interest are advanced motor control methods, re-configurable power electronic converters for reliability, fault diagnosis in drives and power electronics, and integration of distributed generation in micro-grids.
