he workshop focuses on the integration of both modular and granular electronic power converters for multiple applications, by accessing a broad range of leading-edge technologies. PwrSoC was hosted in Ireland (2008, 2010), San Francisco (2012) and Boston (2014). After Madrid (2016), it will be held Taiwan (2018). This rotation -Europe, America, Asia- reflects the ambition of PwrSoC to remain a global workshop.
- Location: Escuela Technica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid, located on the “Paseo de la Castellana”, the main north to south street and financial district of the city
- Registration: opens in June !
E-poster submission
Please consider sharing your recent research on PwrSoC by presenting an E-poster during the workshop. This is a great opportunity to discuss your recent innovations and solutions, in a lively format, where you can show slides, photos, videos and simulations describing your research and directly respond to questions and receive feedback.
Call for E-Poster is open until June 15th!!
The Program…
…is a selection of 30 excellent invited speakers, from industry and academia, from Europe, Asia and America, to cover a broad range of technologies and innovations, structured around the topics shown below:
- Systems & Applications
- Topologies and Control
- Power Semiconductor Technology
- Magnetics
- Capacitors
- System Integration, Packaging and Manufacturing
- Granular Power
- E-Poster session
Complete on-die integration and integration within package are of prime interest. System performance required by current and emerging applications are demanding ever-greater current density, voltage regulation and optimized control, form factor reduction, high efficiency, and cost reduction.
Do not miss the opportunity for networking with a broad diversity of companies and universities. The attendee statistics from the past workshop in Boston show a great balance of over 200 attendees with expertise in fundamentals & basic research, technology development, IC manufacturing and system integration. Discussion and interaction is guaranteed in the single track workshop during three complete days!!
Schedule your trip
There is a wide variety of hotels and restaurants near the university. The venue is very well connected with the rest of the city of Madrid by metro and bus, and there is a very good connection to the airport and the high speed train station to visit other cities in Spain.
October is a very popular and pleasant time to visit Madrid and the country. Weather is mild, and you can expect an average daytime temperature of around 20°C (68ºF), still very pleasant indeed.
Further info
Information regarding the workshop can be found at http://www.pwrsoc2016.org where the past presentations and posters from earlier workshops are now available to the public.
