Gecko-Simulations was founded in 2013 as a spin-off company of ETH Zurich, Switzerland – one of Europe’s top technical universities - and is engaged in developing products for numerical simulation of power electronic systems. Different aspects of power electronic systems can be modeled by the software tools developed by Gecko-Simulations. In addition, consulting services for power electronics engineering are offered.
The company’s mission is to help the power electronics designer obtain a detailed insight into the performance of power electronic systems before any hardware prototypes are constructed. This is achieved through software tools developed by Gecko-Simulations, which enable the virtual design of power electronic systems while taking into account different design aspects: electrical functionality, thermal properties, electromagnetic compatibility, components design, and so on. The circuit system simulator GeckoCIRCUITS is distributed free of charge as an open-source package. The magnetic design tool GeckoMAGNETICS is available for users. In addition, software solutions for thermal and electromagnetic modeling – GeckoHEAT and GeckoEMC - are in the development phase.
Gecko-Simulations can help customers to design optimized products in the field of power electronics, and to significantly reduce product development time and cost.

NWL is one of the largest independent suppliers of transformers, capacitors, and power supplies for demanding industrial, military, and research customers. The company was founded in the 1930's by John Nothelfer as a transformer repair shop - Nothelfer Winding Laboratories, hence NWL. In 1968, Mr. Nothelfer retired and sold the company to a group of 13 employees led by then Vice President, Jim Seitz. The company remains employee owned today and is led by Jim Seitz's sons, David and Bert.
NWL has created a remarkable manufacturing company built on a platform that delivers technical direction, operational expertise, and ongoing product support. The real strength of NWL has been, and continues to be, the outstanding product and application knowledge of the company’s people.
For more than 70 years, NWL has maintained a vertically integrated manufacturing philosophy. As one of the largest independent suppliers of high-voltage power components and systems, they design, build, and support all products from start to finish. Their extensive resources help preserve design integrity and assure complete compatibility of all components—and highest possible quality of complete systems.
