You are Invited to Attend the PSMA Annual Meeting at | |||||||||
he 2014 PSMA Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with APEC 2014 at the Omni Hotel in Fort Worth, TX on Monday March 17. A buffet breakfast at 7:30 a.m. will precede the meeting and individuals from member companies as well non-member guests are invited to attend and participate in a full agenda of topics of interest to the industry. Regular member company representatives will participate in the election of four new Directors to serve on the PSMA Board for a three-year term beginning immediately and ending at APEC 2017. The detailed agenda for the meeting will be posted in the News & Information section of the web site and will include reports from each of the committees and stimulating discussions on new PSMA initiatives for 2014 and beyond. In addition there will be informative presentations from invited guest speakers on current directions in the industry. Members and guests are also invited to remain for the Board of Directors meeting that will immediately follow the Annual Meeting. Participation in these meetings will provide you with the opportunity to network with colleagues from other companies and to influence the direction of the PSMA and the power sources industry. Another good way to get more out of your company membership in PSMA is to get involved with one of our active committees. The Alternative Energy, Capacitor, Energy Efficiency, Energy Harvesting, Industry-Education, Magnetics, Marketing, Nanotechnology, Packaging, and Transportation Power Electronics committees all plan to hold open meetings during the week of APEC 2014. In addition to those committees, the Technology Roadmap committee will have a meeting to kick off work on the 2015 roadmap report. The Semiconductor committee, which has been quiet in the past few years, will have an organization meeting during APEC to define their mission and to plan activities for the coming year. All are invited to participate or to just drop in any of these committee meetings to hear and provide input as the activities are being planned for the coming year. The Alternate Energy Technical Committee is sponsoring a focused workshop “Power Electronics and Electrical Challenges for Engineering Energy-Efficient Buildings” the Saturday before APEC 2014 – March 15 at the Omni. Information on this workshop is available at http://www.psma.com/technical-forums/alternative-energy/workshop. Be sure to visit us at the PSMA booth in the exhibition area during APEC. We look forward to a good turnout at the PSMA meetings and a very exciting week. For the latest information on all of the activities planned during APEC 2014, visit us at www.psma.com. |
