he 36th annual conference was held, from September 28 - October 2, at the Vancouver Convention Center in Vancouver. This year's program included daily keynote addresses from industry leaders such Alex Tang, a leading consultant on earthquake engineering of telecommunications and electric power lifelines, as well as Victor Goncalves, P.Eng, FEC (Chief Technology Officer Alpha Technologies LTD), Dr. Ewart Blackmore (Senior Research Scientist, TRIUMF), and Power Electronics legend Bruce Carsten (President, Bruce Carsten Associates). Their insights and perspectives were an exhilarating start to each day’s programs.

Intelec was attended by over 450 delegates from 46 countries and over 150 exhibitors. The workshops, commercial, oral, and poster technical presentations provided educational and relevant updates on the newest technologies and solutions for our industry. The Tutorials that provided relevant technical training were attended by over 75 people.

INTELEC©, the International Telecommunications Energy Conference, is the annual world-class technical forum which presents the latest developments in communications energy systems and related power-processing devices and circuits. The 2014 conference in Vancouver was a great success and well attended by the industry who’s who. Physically Vancouver provided attendees with beautiful weather and great views of the Northwestern landscape and city.
