s part of the ongoing efforts to provide service and add value to the power electronics community, the PSMA Safety & Compliance Committee hosted at its June meeting a presentation to update the latest status on the conversion from IEC60950 to 62368-1. The presentation was by Mr. Tom Burke of UL in Fremont, CA, who is a subject matter expert in the field. The conversion from IEC60950 to 62368-1 is a very heated topic and of wide interest to many in the power electronics community. As a further service to the power electronics community, the PSMA is providing an archive of the entire presentation including the question and answer session on the Safety & Compliance forum of the PSMA website. The presentation and a PDF of the slides are available at http://www.psma.com/tech-forums-safety-compliance/presentations/4739. As many may know, PSMA offers a Safety & Compliance Database of regulatory and standards related items free of charge for all interested parties. You can register for the database at http://www.psma.com/user/register. In addition, you are invited to participate in the monthly one hour teleconference meetings of the committee. If interested, please contact the Association Office (power@psma.com). Provided by Kevin Parmenter and Jim Spangler, Co-Chairs of the PSMA Safety & Compliance Committee |
